Margarita Nuller was born into a musical family in St. Petersburg (then Leningrad), Russia. She began studying the piano at the age of five under the guidance of her mother. She attended the Special Music School affiliated with the St. Petersburg Conservatory before earning her degree from the St. Petersburg Conservatory, where she received a musical education rooted in the traditions of the Russian piano school.

Since arriving in the United States in 1990, Ms. Nuller has established an active career as both a soloist and chamber musician, performing extensively throughout the New York metropolitan area and New England, as well as internationally in Brazil, Russia, Spain, France, the Czech Republic, and Portugal.

Ms. Nuller has appeared as a soloist with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, the Danbury Symphony Orchestra (Connecticut), the Klassika Orchestra (St. Petersburg, Russia), and the Chamber Orchestra of Puerto Rico. She made her New York debut at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall after winning the prestigious Artists International Auditions. Her recording of Russian piano music was released on the L'Art label.

An active participant in summer music festivals, Ms. Nuller has performed at SIPO in Óbidos, Portugal; the Shandelee Music Festival in New York; and the Music in the Palaces Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia. She has also performed and recorded numerous works by composer Nicolas Van Slyck. A devoted chamber musician, Ms. Nuller frequently performs with a variety of ensembles and has enjoyed a long-standing artistic collaboration with cellist Adam Grabois, presenting an extensive and varied repertoire.

A dedicated educator, Ms. Nuller has served on the faculties of the University of Hartford (Connecticut), the Moussorgsky College of Music in St. Petersburg, Russia, and the Connecticut Conservatory in New Milford, Connecticut. She currently maintains a private piano studio in New Fairfield, Connecticut, and serves on the faculties of Sacred Heart University and Kent School. In addition, she has conducted numerous piano masterclasses and is a frequent adjudicator at youth piano competitions.
